USB-IS1 is a single chip solution in bridging between USB, SATA, and IDE-based mass storage devices. It provides the capability to translate USB mass storage commands to SATA and ATA/ATAPI communication protocol. It also supports dual LUN operation, which allows the user to connect up to 2 ATA/ATAPI devices or 1 ATA/ATAPI device associated with 1 SATA device at the same time. The embedded command parser supports both ATA and ATAPI command set with LBA48-bit addressing capability.
