 Product Feature | Weiqiao Textile Company Limited is the largest cotton textile producer in China .The Group is a non state-owned enterprise principally engaged in the production, sale and distribution of cotton yarn, grey fabric and denim. Leveraging on the rapid growth of the Chinese economy in the last decade, founders of the company has established a strong presence in the global cotton textile market through its large production scale, advanced technology and equipment.
The Group's production facilities are located in the Shandong Province, the third largest cotton-producing province in China, with a large production scale. There is a total of 5 production areas, namely the First Production Area, the Second Production Area and the Third Production Area located at Zouping County, Binzhou Weiqiao Technology Industrial Park ( "Industrial Park" ) and Weihai Weiqiao with an aggregate gross floor area of about 1, 342, 000 sq. M. And over 62, 000 employees. The production facilities are in operation 24 hours a day. The Group has an aggregate production capacity of approximately 441, 000 tons of cotton yarn, 844 million meters of grey fabric and 157 million metres of denim in 2003. Its economies of scale is incomparable in China. In addition, being an integrated cotton textile producer, the Group produces grey fabric and denim from cotton yarn produced by itself. The Group has a comprehensive product range comprising more than 2, 000 models, which are sold under the reputable "Weiqiao" trademark in both domestic and overseas markets.
The Group was ranked No. 1 in 2002 in terms of turnover in the PRC's cotton textile industry according to the statistics from China Cotton Textile Association, and also in terms of the aggregate export value of cotton yarn and grey fabric in the PRC according to the statistics from China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles. | | | |
