The SCB-6971 is a compact powerful desktop network security Appliance that is specifically designed for Internet secure connectivity. It is suitable for SOHO (Small Office, Home Office), SMB (Small Medium Business), and ROBO (Remote Office, Branch Office) segments.
SCB-6971 integrated an embedded SBC power by the AMDȃ architecture with AMDȃ Geode TM LX800 + CS5536 chipset support AMDȃ GeodeTM LX800 processor up to 500MHz; it has low power consumption and good performance that meets Internet security appliance requirements. The system supports CompactFlash for use in installing OS and Internet security applications. This avoids service disruption caused by hard disk mechanical/magnetic failures. In addition, the SCB-6971 can support system memory with one DDR socket support up to 1GB. Both CompactFlash and memory can be accessed and replaced for software upgrades through an easily removable cover. Through Realtekȃ 8139CL+ Ethernet controller, the platform afforded 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports or 10/100Mbps Ethernet & 10/100 switch port in the back panel. There are ten LED indicators on the front panel display, which monitor power status, LAN active & speed and CF card status. For easy access, the back panel has a RJ-45 console port for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. It is FCC and CE compliant.
SCB-6971 is perfect for SMB, SOHO and ROBO segment network applications including Policy gateway, Wireless security gateway, Content filtering, Firewall and Web Leach. It allows system integrators and software vendors to develop versatile solutions easily.
