(1) Brief introduction

What is glutaraldehyde?
It was first composed in 1908. Pepper and his companions found its disinfecting function in 1962, and made alkaline glutaraldehyde with concentration of 2% to disinfect. Chemical formula for glutaraldehyde is C5H8O2 and its molecular weight is 100.13. It is flint or light yellow liquid with boiling point between 187a?? and 189a?? .The liquid is easy to be dissolved in water and alcohol. Its water-solubility is acidity (PH3-4). Glutaraldehyde has broad-spectrum, high sterilizing efficiency. So it is high- efficiency disinfecting agent.
