We, Gearex Corporation were registered in 1981, with an authorized capital of NT$130,000,000 (approx. US$ 4,000,000) Our company is greatly expanding for different development to create more profits from year to year in order to meet our target to become a publicly traded company in 2001. Our budgeted turnover for 1999 is NT$ 400,000,000 (approx. US$ 12,400,000), so we definitely believe we can reach our target. We currently have 100 employees in 4 organizations as follows:




Taipei office/exporting dept.

We are dealing both with imports and exports.We have been exporting Houseware, Kitchenware, Barbecue, Knife Sets, Bathroom Accessories, PIR Security Lighting and Tiles For over 18 years. We are very professional in OEM Corporation. Our major factories are in China and Taiwan, and our products are very high, controlled quality and prices are very competitive. 70% of our market is in Europe and 30% is in U.S.A., Canada, Japan and Hong Kong.

Kuan-Yin plant:

The complete plant was completed in 1998. The land area is 5,000 SM with 3 plants, 1 office building (construction area 5,500 SM). The 3 sales departments are as follows:

Ceramic machinery dept.

Substitute most advanced Italian ceramic machinery especially best advantage rotating printing machine.

Transmission dept.

Imports European high-quality transmission units such as motors, brake motors, vibrating motors, variators, reducers.

Chemical dept.

Imports Italian high-quality glaze, color-stain, glaze medium and full image R&D services for tile production and manufacture screen for tile production.


Taichung office

Division of transmission department in Taichung which is responsible for sales in central and south Taiwan.

China plant/Shanghai office

The China plant was set up in April 1998. The organization of the China plant is the same as in Taiwan. We provide services all over China.



Besides the above organization, our company is investing to set up a sister company - Kuo Ho Technical Ceramic Co., Ltd. - which is producing ceramic rollers in Taiwan in co-operation with European technology-transfer. Their rollers have been proven superior in quality compared to German and Italian competitors. Besides successfully selling in Taiwan, Kuo Ho also exports rollers to many countries and regions such as China, Far-East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
