This product is fermented Monascus purpureus producing submetabolizer Monacolin K and other congeneric products. Monacolin K is a kind of inhibitor ( 3-hydroxyl-3-methy glutaryl COA, reductase, or HMG-COA reductase) restricting speed enzymes in the cholesterol synthesized way. Such natural HMG-COA inhibitor and many other unsaturated fatty acid can reduce cholesterol and regulate the fat of blood. The more un-ringed Monacolin K the better the result is.
