Hi-Watt Battery Industry Co Ltd (¡°Hi-Watt¡±) was established in December 1985 in Hong Kong. It is a subsidiary company of Yue Xiu Holding Company Ltd and one of the largest battery manufacturers in Hong Kong. Hi-Watt has 5 wholly owned or associated companies in China which are engaged in manufacturing and sales of primary batteries, rechargeable batteries, multi-cell batteries, machineries for battery.
Hi-Watt is now employing over 2000 staff. The site areas of China plants are over 70,000 square metres (with floor areas upto 100,000 square metres). The plants have over 40 efficient production lines of carbon zinc, alkaline and rechargeable batteries.
Hi-Watt is manufacturing and providing more than 50 items including carbon zinc batteries, alkaline batteries, nickel cadmium batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries, lead acid batteries, warning lamps and battery machineries. The major export markets are U.S.A., Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, South East Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America and Africa. Hi-Watt has achieved sales upto HK$800,000,000 in 2006, and is one of the leaders of the battery industry in China.
The company has strong and powerful technical and engineering team: employing over 100 experienced and professional engineering staff. Applying advanced technology, its primary batteries like carbon zinc and alkaline are superior in quality in the areas of capacity, leak-proof, safety and shelf-life. To achieve the targets of safety and environmental protection, Hi-Watt is the pioneer in China to apply ¡°zero-mercury, zero-cadmium¡± technology in manufacturing primary carbon zinc batteries which meets entirely the requirements of latest international safety and environmental standard.
Guangzhou Hi-Watt Battery Industry Ltd, a member of the Group, is the first specialist in China in manufacturing multi-cell 9V battery. The ¡°HW¡± brand 9V battery was awarded famous brand name by Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City in China respectively.
Hi-Watt is selling her products under the registered trade mark ¡°HW¡± in China and globally, which is well recognized in the industry.
Hi-Watt adheres strictly to the requirements of IEC. Due to the superior and reliable quality, high performance and leak-proof, Hi-Watt has been awarded ¡°Q mark¡± certificate by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries; and UL as well as C.E. certification.
