Shanghai Fingertech Information Co. Ltd (SFT) is one of the leading fingerprint biometric companies in China since its establishment. SFT, whose expertise lies in the area of research and development to meet the increasing demand for fingerprint biometric applications around the world, integrates the latest technology into a range of products that will enhance the level of security and eliminate the need for passwords and other essentials.
In early 1998, SFT''s technical team worked with professors from the Chinese Academy of Science (Shanghai Branch) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to co-develop the groundwork for fingerprint recognition algorithm. After 2 years of research, SFT succeeded in developing the recognition algorithm and thus, came about the first generation of USB fingerprint reader. SFT''s strength lies in their ability to develop customized software for their fingerprint products. Through the years, SFT has integrated their fingerprint applications into a range of products? attendance system, access control system, door lock, reader, flash disk and mouse. In an effort to be the market leader, SFT''s research and development team will continue to develop new products to meet the market trends.
Realizing the need for globalization, SFT set up a representative office in Singapore to better serve overseas clients. Together, the aim is to be a leading biometric solution provider in both hardware and software developments around the world.
