| |  |  |  | Company Profile | | | | | | | | Victradco Ltd., was established by Mr. Po Shin and Victoria Chang in March 1967 with a total paid in capital of US$1,000. The main aspect of the business at that time was in general gift importing and exporting.
When Victradco began, there were only 8 employees. Currently Victradco
employs over two hundred people. In order to expand its business, Victradco invested and opened up offices in Bangkok, Thailand; Hong Kong; Shenzhen and Shantou, China; and Manila, Philippines. The reason behind this expansion was to utilize all the available resources in the surrounding Asian countries as well as helping manufactures
bring their standards to a higher level. Along with this expansion, Victradco also increased their in-house art department from just six illustrators and sculptors to over 40 artists.
At the same time, Victradco began to introduce Taiwan to the world of fine collectibles and musical gifts through their own gift boutique called Victoria Giftique. Besides the main store, Victoria Giftique is also located in many of the country's leading department stores such as Sogo and Takashimaya.
Victradco Ltd. also began to invest in and develop a new line of golf equipment using the brand name IGUANA(tm). Besides using graphite shafts and titanium club heads, IGUANA(tm) was the first to introduce "Beta Titanium" clubs to the domestic and international market. With the Beta-Ti clubs, IGUANA(tm) was also the first to introduce the deep cavity back design now being now being used by the larger competitors.
In 1997, Victradco opened up its Myanmar branch office to begin its representation in that country as a trading and distribution company. Some of the projects in which the Myanmar office has handled are with TECO air conditioners and Gold Elephant 525R Polish cement.
In March of 1999, Victradco introduced our third office in China at Shanghai. This continuous expansion has enhanced Victradco in sourcing and supporting our product development and control. Through this Victradco has developed a very strong background in a variety of materials including porcelain, poly-resin, glass, wood, and metals/antimony. We believe that in order to provide the best services in the giftware industry, we must be very sensitive to the current market trend and to always be ahead of the competition.
In July of 1999, we launched www.giftnet.com.tw to provide gift-giving service via the internet. Our goal was to become the number one destination web-site in the Chinese community for those intending to find gift or premium items. We are proud of having achieved this goal in the Taiwan market and will open the site for China market soon.
Moreover, Victradco believes in long-term relationships with our clients. As an example, we have been in a long-term business partnership with Enesco Corporation since 1967. Other long time clients are the Ashton Drake Galleries, The Bradford Exchange, and American Greetings. Once a business partnership is developed, Victradco strives to make it last forever.
