VQS Company - One of the leading producers and exporters for craft products made in Vietnam
INTRODUCTION
Vinh Quang Trading and Services Company Limited (VQS Co., Ltd.) was established in September 1996 by a group of students graduating from universities and coming from different Districts of Old Ha Dong Town (presently called Ha Tay Provinces). To be descendants of Craft Masters who produced and supplied the Kings and Royal Family in Old Thang Long Imperial Citadel with sophisticated handicraft products for centuries, we are ceaselessly striving to study and exchange experiences with our fellows in order to create unique products, and to meet increasing demands of both domestic and foreign customers. We always ponder on how to redesign and produce handicraft products not only preserving traditional characters but also satisfying present taste of customers. Our products are mainly handmade ones and the production process consistently before and after is followed one rule: using as much natural and environment-friendly materials as possible. At present, we have two main production workshops specializing on producing and exporting bamboo and rattan handicrafts at Hanoi City and Ha Tay Province.

PRODUCTION PROCESS:
The production process is divided into five main stages to make it easy to supervise the quality of each stage.
1. Purchasing and processing materials: Staff persons who responsible for purchasing raw materials (fresh bamboo) and the head craftsman will purchase, pack and transport materials from suppliers?store to our workshop. The fresh bamboo are soaked in a processing tank in about two weeks and then dried in two days. We use non-toxic chemicals made up by engineers of National Chemical Institute after studying samples imported from Do-It-Yourself Pest Control, Inc., USA. Then bamboos are dried until they contain 12% - 15% of water. The processed bamboos are classified into different diameter groups and piled on the shelves with root and top in the same direction
2. Producing raw products: Workers will choose the relevant types of processed bamboos depending on each type of product. When the raw products are shaped, they are taken to another group to be painted.
3. Finishing products by painting technology: Raw products?surface are polished by sandpaper and painted in colour or glossy depending on customers?requirements.
4. Painting products with fire-proof chemical: If customers require and agree to pay 10% more over production expenses, we will paint the whole product with one layer of transparent fire-proof chemical. The technology and chemicals are made up by Material Engineering Institute of Vietnam.
5. Packing and storing finished products: Finished products are wrapped in P.E bag or cartons with different plies depending on customers?requirements. If customers require and agree to pay more, we can also put the carton in wooden case to keep them in good condition.

Outdoor tables and chairs using bamboo or combination of bamboo and other materials.

Bamboo and rattan products such as: fruit trays, gift baskets, napkin paper box, etc.

Export fresh or processed bamboo poles.
