ANANDA SHIPYARD & SLIPWAYS LTD. [ASSL] emerged as a limited company in 1983. The goodwill, experience, equipment, and manpower of the shipbuilding division of ANANDA BUILDERS LTD. were transferred to ASSL since inception; the ASSL has undertaken various projects for the Government funded by the Govt. of Bangladesh and donors as well as for private owners.
The quality of the works has been certified by reputed classification societies & inspection agencies. In general, the shipyard has satisfied the quality requirements as well as delivery schedules of clients.
Production area of ANANDA SHIPYARD & SLIPWAYS LTD. comprises 60,000 sq. meters, of which 10,000 sq. meters are covered. Yard''s workshop is fitted with modern machineries and equipment. Shipbuilding halls are fitted with EOTS and Slipways are with Gantry crane. About 126 qualified & experienced personnel are leading a workforce of more than 700 in the sections of lofting, cutting, welding, erection, fitting, woodworking, mechanical works, electrical works quality control and painting and thus producing reasonably modern quality vessels. The in-house computer aided design office provides designs/drawings to the shipyard. In terms of equipment, manpower & experience the shipyard now ranks among the top shipyards in South Asia.
