| |  |  |  | Company Profile | | | | | | | | Since July 1989, Amanda Foods has been producing and supplying its customers, quality frozen seafood from Vietnam's abundant seas and waterways. This customer base now extends to Europe, USA, Australia and Japan.
From the major resources of Shrimp, Fish, Molluscs and Crustaceans, the company has more than 50 different seafood items to offer. Packaging can be as per customers requirements and ranges from simple block frozen, to beautifully illustrated retail/supermarket style packing, which can be printed in Vietnam.
We do not buy stock in Vietnam. We produce for our customers to order. Quality control is looked after by 6 resident Sri Lankan Technicians from our own Factories in Sri Lanka, who are assisted by a team of 15 Vietnamese technicians, trained by us to our standards.
In every factory that we work in Vietnam, we have at least one technician present during our production and in this way Amanda Foods can fully guarantee its customers. If problems arise, Amanda Foods is responsible, financially or otherwise, instead of the factories.
In the year ending December 31, 2002 the company shipped more than 10000MT to its customers worldwide and turnover value represented 7% of Vietnam? Total Seafood Export Value. In addition to this, Amanda Foods acts as an agent/representative for a Multinational company in Japan and one in the USA (Darden Restaurants), which owns 1200 restaurants across North America.
The company also operates a refrigeration and engineering subsidiary, which distributes industrial and retail refrigeration, air-conditioning and related parts and equipment, throughout Vietnam.
