The name was changed into Zhangjiagang City Shazhou Steel Wire Rope Factory in 1986, and changed into a company with limited liability in Sept. 1997. It is located in the centre of Su-Xi-Chang area, and is 10 kilo-meters away from Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone and deep water port-Zhangjiagang port. The transport is very convenient. Plant area of the factory is 48000sqm, building space is 20000sqm.
It has 200 staff and workers includeing 170 productive workers and 30 managerial and scientific personnel. The company has 4 workshop, 5 sections and 134 sets of major production equipment including 4 production lines. The company enjoys complete physical&chemical testing equipment and reliable testing and inspecting means. At present , the company possesses a total fixed assets of BMB35 million and has an annual output capacity of 15,000 tons of steel wire products.
The major products of the company involve tyre wheel wire, wire ropes, ect. GB14450-93 standard is excuted for tyres wheel wire and GB/T8918-1996 standard for wire ropes. The company passed the State Grade-2 Meteving Verification in 1991 and the recovered tyre wheel wires were appraised as State-level New Product. Manufacture license for the round strand wire rope was obtained in November, 1992. The company was ranked as Jiangsu Province New&High-tech Enterprise in 1995.
